Tom Taylor is a christian singer/songwriter, guitarist and bassist. He began composing original music in 2005. Seemingly unable to write lyrics, his thought was that he would possibly make an album of instrumental music. He was able to pen lyrics for one song, titled "Your Light." He sought collaboration online for further lyrics, but unknowingly it was his wife Becky who would become his co-lyricist. He began to write more lyrics on his own as well. He began recording his debut album, doing some work with his friend, recording engineer Tom Brown. As an act of faith, to further pursue his music ministry, Tom, Becky and their precious son Liam moved to Tennessee from Washington State in April 2007. Continuing work on the album, it was finally released in April 2008. It's a very personal album, with much of the material concerning challenges he has faced in his christian walk. It also features a tribute to his late father, a spiritual love song for his wife Becky, and a special song dedicated to their son Liam. Through Project Child Smiles, Tom has made a special friendship with a little boy named Ty, to whom "My Child" has been dedicated. The song is also for all children dealing with illness or handicaps, and to children who have been neglected or abused. After facing a life-changing automobile accident on Liam's third birthday, the Taylor family, extremely thankful that the Lord spared their lives, will return to Washington State in October; where they will continue this music ministry.
